Competent Crew Sail is the first Course in a comprehensive building block series that allows you to learn at your own pace and gain ISPA certification. This course provides the basic knowledge essential for keelboat sailing and the must knows for living aboard a cruising sailboat.
Certificate of Competency; ISPA Competent Crew Basic/Sail.
Certified to live aboard a sailing vessel in tidal waters as Competent Crew.
In an emergency, be able to substitute as skipper.
Competent to sail a vessel under 30ft, where no navigational hazards exist, within 5 miles of safe harbor, during daylight hours only, in light to moderate wind conditions.
Day Skipper Sail is the second course in a comprehensive building block series that allows you to learn at your own pace and gain ISPA Certification. This course provides intermediate sailing and cruising knowledge essentials for bare boat Charter Skipper.
ISPA Day Skipper Intermediate/Charter Sail
The holder is certified as the skipper of a live aboard sailing vessel, to be responsible for the safety of his/her vessel and crew, while day sailing in familiar waters, within 10 miles of safe harbor, during daylight, in moderate wind and sea conditions using basic navigational skills.
Coastal Navigation is the third course in a comprehensive building block series that allows you to learn at your own pace and gain ISPA Certification.
ISPA Coastal Navigation
This course is specifically designed to provide the information required for the International Sail & Power Academy Inc. Coastal Navigation Standard Ashore certification. Ashore certification requires the completion of the assessment and chart work exercises, the two-day " on the water" practical. which covers the content of this course must be completed on the coast to achieve the full Coastal Navigation Certificate.
